Information on the Protest Day strike action
Transit between the workplace
and the protest site
The KOVO Unions will dene the exact locations of assembly areas
and paths. A detailed plan for trac restrictions will also be in place.
Roads inside and around the plant, and along the march route, will be
closed, stopping material deliveries during the event.
Employees leaving the morning shift to join the protest will be allowed
to pass through the gates with open turnstiles. Inside the plant, the
SO security service will direct the operation along with the designated
organisational sta of the KOVO Unions. The Czech national police,
Mladá Boleslav town police, along with some members of the SO
security service will ensure smooth proceedings around the plant.
Who can take part in the protest?
All regular employees of Škoda Auto, as well as agency workers
and employees of companies operating on Škoda Auto
premises, can participate in the protest, except for non-interruptible
professions and certain other professions agreed on by the KOVO
Unions and Škoda Auto.
How will absences be recorded?
Employees, whether from direct or indirect areas, must inform their
immediate supervisor in advance if they plan to join the protest
and will be absent from work. Note that employees will not be paid
for the time they are absent for the protest.
Employees who are excused should mark this work interruption
on the attendance terminal. It will be recorded under code  –
an unpaid absence due to employee circumstances. Supervisors will
then properly excuse these absences; there is no need to provide
a specic reason.
Morning shift workers should mark their departure from
the workplace between : and : before the protest starts.
Afternoon shift workers should mark their return to work between
: and : after the protest ends. For those on a twelve-hour
shift, the same timing for marking their absence applies, leaving
between : and : and arriving between : and :.
Employees must not stay at the workplace after their shift
ends or during the interruption.
What about employees who are not taking
part?
Employees unaected by the protest (e.g. non-interruptible
professions or other agreed professions) who choose not to
participate will continue with their regular work schedule. They will not
need to mark any absence or early end to their workday.
