Over the past two years, the Kvasiny plant has
been running an ambitious Energy Savings
Programme. The PSU/ – Green Oce team has
implemented a total of  new measures, yielding
savings of around  million CZK, with another
 energy-saving initiatives currently underway.
One of the most impactful eorts is a no-cost
adjustment to the technological parameters
used in painting, saving over , MWh. These
energy-saving measures are now being tested
at the Mladá Boleslav paint shop as well.
As part of the programme, a useful monitoring
tool has been introduced across all Kvasiny
operations to track energy management results.
This allows a continuous comparison between
measured consumption and a model calculated
based on production volume, weather, and other
factors. Every saving – or any instance of waste
– is included in the report, providing teams with
insights on where to implement savings across
other areas or prevent unnecessary waste.

Got an Idea and Not
Sure Where To Share It?
We’ve created a central intranet page,
One Place for Innovation for all your
innovation-related needs across key
departments.
Here, you’ll nd the right contacts,
a link to IdeaSpace for targeted idea
submissions, and ZEBRA for original
solutions and new concepts. If you’re
uncertain about where your idea ts,
you can now submit it here. Through
Ideabox AKTIV*, a long-term open
call on IdeaSpace, you can also share
ideas related to your daily work –
whether it’s suggestions, concepts
needing further development, or
just tips to explore. Once submitted,
an expert from our team will take it
forward for further evaluation. This is
a voluntary initiative for employees,
and unlike ZEBRA, it doesn’t include
rewards, but it’s an opportunity
to contribute to continuous
improvement in your workplace.
Shoebox for Kids
Collection
This year, the Procurement
Academy is again co-organising
the Shoebox for Kids collection,
which runs from  November to
 December . The collection
accepts both newly purchased
items and gently used items that
your children or children around you
no longer need (such as clothing,
toys, and books). Please bring your
donated items to the reception at
the Rolnická School by  December
. The following day,
the collected items will be handed
over at a designated collection point
managed by the main organiser,
Diakonie ČCE, one of the most
prominent providers of social
services. Items can be packed in
a box or bag, labelled with the gender
and age of the intended recipient.
Innovation From Internal
Hackathon Boosts Production
Digitalisation
CEO Klaus Zellmer recently presented an award to
a team that introduced an exciting innovation during an
internal hackathon – one that made its way into daily
production processes in just six months from its initial
concept. The speed of this implementation is crucial in
tackling the many unprecedented challenges facing
the automotive industry today.
The innovation team, made up of in-house colleagues
from production, created a digital solution to record the
successful completion of manufacturing tasks, a process
that previously required manual stamping. Today, this
can be done with a simple app, saving employees several
hours of work.
