Best Practice Tour at Škoda Auto: Showcasing
Innovations in Digitalisation
Škoda Auto hosted the Best Practice Company Tour event in collaboration with the Czech-
German Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The carmaker is one of the premium partners of
the #PartnerForDigitalization platform, which brings together companies focused on innovation and
digitalisation. The platform aims to provide businesses with the opportunity to share their experiences,
inspire others, and showcase specic examples of how digitalisation is transforming work processes and
opening up new possibilities across dierent industries. The Best Practice Company Tour was one such
opportunity to demonstrate how Škoda Auto approaches digitalisation and innovation.
During the tour, which highlighted Best Practices
in digitalisation, participants were given
insights into several key Škoda Auto projects,
particularly in Production, that focus on digital
technologies. Topics presented included
the digitalisation of Production processes
and quality systems, the use of virtual reality
to simulate Production processes, and
Digital Twin technology, which enables
the real-time simulation and optimisation of
Production processes.

Hackathon at
Prague Seeks
Innovative and
Practical Solutions
for Škoda Connect
and MyŠkoda Apps
The non-prot educational
institute Prague held its
rst international hackathon
from to October, bringing
together competing teams from
various countries to explore
innovative ideas and solutions
for the Škoda Connect and
MyŠkoda apps. The winning
team, Škoders from
Heilbronn campus, was awarded
for their project ‘interactive
range map for electric
vehicles after charging’. This
hackathon followed similar
events where Škoda Auto
gathered programmers to create
digital solutions in the elds of
sustainability and IT.
