Invitation to the Škoda Museum:
Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) has contributed to the government’s ‘Skill India’ initiative through its student car project. This year,
mechatronics students in India created an innovative pickup by merging a Volkswagen Taigun SUV with a Volkswagen Virtus sedan.
The project spanned nine months – through various phases from nalising the vehicle concept, collecting ideas, market analysis, research and development,
procurement, packaging, and nal vehicle testing for market launch. The students designed and D-printed various parts, demonstrating their ability to
use the latest manufacturing techniques to solve engineering challenges. The vehicle was also equipped with specialised accessories such as underbody
protection, studded tyres, ambient lighting, and special roof lights, further enhancing the pickup’s rugged design.
