Elroq’s World Premiere Next Week
Škoda Auto has released a teaser video showcasing key
exterior design elements of its compact SUV. The world
premiere of the Elroq, the Czech carmaker’s rst model to
incorporate the new Modern Solid design language, will take
place on October at : CEST, streamed live on Škoda
Auto's ocial social channels.
The footage will be available on the Škoda Storyboard
platform and on YouTube.

Construction Work To Update the Roundabout on Průmyslová Street in Kosmonosy
The current roundabout on road I/ near Gate of the Škoda
Auto plant is no longer suitable for the trac volume in this industrial
part of the town. The new design will be a so-called turbo roundabout.
The Road and Motorway Directorate (ŘSD) is in the process of selecting
a contractor. Two companies have submitted bids ranging from CZK
. to . million excluding VAT. The estimated construction cost,
according to the designer, is CZK . million excluding VAT.
The primary reason for the redesign is the inadequate layout with two
trac lanes on the roundabout and two-lane entry and exit points
without proper lane guidance. The work will include construction
modications and adjustments to road markings. The rst phase is set
to begin in October and conclude in November, with work pausing
during the winter technology break. Work is expected to resume in
June next year, with the newly modied roundabout scheduled to
open in July. Trac will be partially restricted in the construction area.
The restriction will aect one trac lane on
the roundabout at a time, while the other lane will
remain open for through trac.

This year, the legendary Škoda RS celebrates years since
its debut. This racing prototype was groundbreaking for the brand in
many ways. It was the rst Škoda vehicle to bear the RS (Rally Sport)
designation and also the car that catapulted the brand to great success in
modern international competitions.
As part of the anniversary celebrations, another fty-year-old – former world
rally champion Petter Solberg – along with his son Oliver, who currently leads
the WRC category of the FIA World Rally Championship, took the special
edition out on the track.
