    On the occasion of the 20
    th
    anniversary of the successful
    cooperation, on Tuesday
    27/9/2022 we handed over
    two ŠKODA ENYAQ COUPÉ iV
    electric cars and a nancial
    contribution of CZK 1,000,000
    to the non-prot organisation
    Clown Doctors. The cars will
    be used to transport clowns
    doctors during their therapeutic
    activities, which consist of
    visiting children and seniors in
    health and social facilities and,
    in the case of long-term sick
    children, in their homes.
    The design of the two cars was
    the work of children in the
    “Car for the Clown Doctor“
    competition.
    During the afternoon event designed
    especially for families with children, visitors
    could enjoy a rich program, which was
    hosted by actor Josef Trojan and attended
    by moderator Tomáš Zástěra and actress
    Barbora Jánová. Children and adults could
    see both winning cars and take
    a commemorative photo in the photo corner.
    Apart from the children's activities, musical
    entertainment was prepared in the form of
    a performance by the ELÁN KontraBand.
    On the occasion of
    the signing of the new
    Memorandum of
    Understanding with
    the Ministry of the
    Environment, both visited
    the battery production
    and vehicle assembly.
    The delegation saw
    therefore a live example of
    how the transformation of
    the automotive industry
    looks like in practice. They
    also became acquainted
    with the measures already
    taken, thanks to which
    ŠKODA eliminates the
    environmental impacts of
    industrial car production.
    The main topics of the day
    were the decarbonization of
    industry, emission reduction,
    climate neutrality, Green
    Deal, electromobility, the
    new Fit for 55 legislative
    package and others.
    The memorandum was
    signed by Board Members
    of ŠKODA AUTO
    Dr. Michael Oeljeklaus
    (Production and Logistics)
    and Martin Jahn (Sales and
    Marketing). The ceremony
    at the ŠKODA Museum
    in Mladá Boleslav was
    also attended by ŠKODA
    CEO Klaus Zellmer and
    Chairman of the KOVO
    Trade Union and Vice-
    Chairman of the Supervisory
    Board of ŠKODA AUTO
    Jaroslav Povšík.

    cars designed
    by children to
    the Clown Doctors
    organization
    ŠKODA AUTO welcomed a visit
    from the European Commission
    In total, nearly 200 designs were submitted
    by children, from which an expert jury
    consisting of representatives of ŠKODA
    AUTO and the non-prot organisation
    Clown Doctors selected 20 nal designs
    and the most successful one was then
    decided by public voting online. The second
    design was determined by an expert jury.
    The authors of the winning designs for the clown cars were 14-year-olds
    Marie Gaubová and Anna Isabel Basler.

    at how it is possible to create a „Digital Twin“ in real
    time and not only provide a virtual transfer of technical
    experts to the site of interest, but also visually link all
    digital data into a unique entity. Lukáš Kousal, Expert

    In September 2022, the educational Electric Day took
    place in the M6 Battery Assembly Hall in Mladá Boleslav.
    Over 600 foremen and forewomen from the Mladá Boleslav,
    Vrchlabí and Kvasiny plants gathered for special sessions on
    the transformation to electromobility. We continue with our
    targeted and systematic training of all employees.

    A series of expert lectures and discussion forums took place over the course of one week,
    which, among other things, highlighted the importance of climate and environmental
    protection and the opportunities for engagement, not only in terms of production practice
    but also in everyday life. Key topics included the circular economy and biodiversity, one of
    the days of Green Week was also dedicated to the approach to circular design in ŠKODA
    development. Employees could also take part in the PLOGGING challenge, the rst
    ŠKODA SWAP or the screening of ECOFILMS at Na Karmeli. In Rychnov nad Kněžnou,
    in cooperation with the town, EKO-KOM and ŠKODA AUTO, employees could take part in
    The participants were able, for example, to get a close look at PHEV and MEB
    batteries including their individual parts. At the same time, they learned about
    the principles of traction batteries, electric motors and battery cells. Emphasis was
    placed on the safety precautions that must always be followed when handling
    batteries. Representatives of the ŠKODA Fire & Rescue Service for example
    explained how to proceed if a damaged battery catches re.

    Digitalization in
    ŠKODA AUTO
    isn’t only a
    buzzword. In May,
    the DigiRoadshow
    training started in the
    production area and
    quickly met the set
    objectives. Above
    all, we wanted to
    improve employees’
    digital literacy so
    that they could use
    ŠKODA’s internal
    applications more
    easily. We also
    wanted to reduce
    the printing of paper
    payslips.
    Since the launch of
    the DigiRoadshow,
    we have reduced
    the number of
    printed payslips by
    63%.
    This is a signicant
    shift that helps
    to reduce the
    administrative
    burden, corporate
    costs and, last but
    not least, has a long-
    term positive impact
    on the environment.
