    Third Green Week@Škoda
    in full swing!
    The third annual GreenWeek@Škoda is taking place at Škoda
    Auto this week (18-22 September 2023). The main theme is
    Sustainability, one of the key pillars of Škoda‘s brand strategy.
    This year‘s biggest innovation was Wednesday‘s interactive
    afternoon „Sustainability for Every Day“, which was also open to
    the general public and schools for the first time.
    On Thursday and Friday you can still watch the lectures and
    talks LIVE via a virtual studio broadcast. You can also actively
    participate in the program with your questions via the
    Slido.com / #GreenWeek app. All week long, there is also
    a plogging challenge prepared in collaboration with ŠKOFIT.

    New Superb and Kodiaq
    must deal both with
    heat and cold
    The new generations of Škoda’s Superb
    and Kodiaq model series have success-
    fully completed an intensive international
    test programme. The Czech carmaker put
    both models through their paces ahead of
    their upcoming autumn world premieres.
    Over a period of two years, they covered
    more than a million kilometres. The test
    drives exposed the cars to temperatures of
    - °C north of the Arctic Circle as well as
    almost  °C in the Arizona desert. More-
    over, Škoda Auto had them towing trail-
    ers on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road
    and tested various charging infrastructures
    for the variants with plug-in-hybrid drive-
    trains. With numerous additional endurance
    and material assessments on test rigs and
    in the laboratory, Škoda simulates
     years of real-world vehicle use prior to
    the model’s launch.

    Stimmungsbarometer 2023
    The annual employee satisfaction survey Stimmungsbarometer
    started on  September . You will still be able to provide your
    feedback on the past  months at work until  October , using
    the app available at the Škoda Space homepage.
    Participate using your company laptop, personal computer, mobile phone
    or any other smart device. If you are accessing the survey from home or
    outside the Škoda network, you must rst log in to the Employee Portal
    (www.skodaspace.cz). Production Employees can vote at any one of the
     temporary voting spots in production plants with the assistance
    of specially trained personnel.

    Tour 2023
    As usual, the starting lineup
    of the Škoda Classic
    Tour, a precision rally for
    the Czech carmaker’s
    employees, was made up of
    family crews in their four-
    wheeled family treasures.
    With the record amount of
    over  cars participating
    this was the largest rallye
    of Central Europe. One of
    the participants was Škoda
    chairman of the board Klaus
    Zellmer, whose wife Susanne
    took on the navigator role
    beside him in their white

    the charity happening „TERIBEAR
    moves Mladá Boleslav“ since ,
    not only nancially, but also through
    the participation of employees
    and volunteers. This year‘s event
    was supported nancially with
    CZK , and more than 
    employees and their relatives also took
    part in the start, while others helped
    with the organisation. Helping children
    at risk and disadvantaged citizens,
    together with employee volunteering,
    is a solid part of Škoda Auto‘s social
    sustainability.

    Škoda’s Pay to Park
    service receives
    Car Connectivity
    Award from ‘auto
    motor sport’
    The Pay to Park app enables users
    to manage the entire parking
    process, either via the MyŠkoda app
    on their mobile or through the in-car
    infotainment system. Škoda’s Pay to
    Park service, developed by its centre
    for digital services Škoda X, has now
    clinched a coveted Car Connectivity
    Award.
    In this year’s reader poll organised
    by the German trade magazine
    ‘auto motor und sport’ and its
    oshoot MO/OVE, almost one in
    four participants voted for the Pay
    to Park service over its competitors
    in the ‘price/performance stars’
    category.
    Škoda Auto continues its
    exclusive partnership with
    NATO Days in Ostrava
    Visitors to the NATO Days in Ostrava
    ( and  September ) at the Leoš
    Janáček Airport in Mošnov once again enjoyed
    not only a showcase of top military equipment,
    but also new Škoda cars. In particular, the
    modernised Scala and Kamiq models were
    presented here in their national exhibition
    premiere. The Mladá Boleslav car company
    has traditionally been one of the event‘s major
    partners, and this year it has also prepared
    a rich accompanying programme for visitors.

    simulators and fun
    activities for children.

    A miraculous comeback at the
    Andreas Mikkelsen and co-driver Torstein Eriksen (Škoda
    Fabia RS Rally) won WRC at Acropolis Rally Greece,
    tenth round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).
    The Norwegians didn’t give up after suering three pun-
    ctures on Friday and fought back by eventually winning ten
    of the event’s  stages. The Mikkelsen/Eriksen duo now
    leads the overall WRC category standings ahead of Fran-
    ce‘s Yohan Rossel (Citroën) and Gus Greensmith. The FIA
    World Rally Championship remains on gravel for
    the next round, but leaves Europe and moves to South
    America. Next up is the Rally of Chile ( September
    to  October ).
    Škoda Auto Continues to
    Support Centrum Paraple,
    Lends 4 New Cars
    Škoda Auto has been cooperating for  years with
    the Centrum Paraple, founded in  by Zdeněk
    Svěrák. Since then, it has been helping people in
    wheelchairs and their families cope with dicult
    life situations. As part of the long-term partnership,
    Škoda Auto has lent four new cars to the needs of
    the employees and clients of Centrum Paraple. The
    cars were handed over on the premises of the Paraple
    Centre in Prague in the presence of its co-founder and
    president Zdeněk Svěrák. The sta and clients will now
    be using Škoda Enyaq, Superb and Octavia cars.
