Škoda Motorsport
Presents New
Sustainable Materials
at the Nordic
Sustainable Mobility
Forum
Škoda Motorsport introduces the Škoda Enyaq RS Race, a new
concept car equipped with a safety roll cage and racing seats that
meet the high standards of the International Automobile Federation
(FIA). The sustainable materials used in the vehicle contribute further
to its eco-friendliness.
The electric concept carries the DNA of the current competition
vehicle Škoda Fabia RS Rally , with carbon-ceramic brake discs used
on both axles. Additionally, weight savings were achieved through
innovative sustainable composite materials for the fenders, roof,
rear wing, front and rear bumpers, mirrors, sills, and other interior
components. The Škoda Enyaq RS Race uses the battery and electric
motors from the standard Škoda Enyaq Coupé RS model and delivers
a power output of  kW
( hp) in its latest evolution.
Škoda Motorsport is exploring new
possibilities for using biocomposites
and is testing potential replacements
for all oil-based uids with sustainable
lubricants. The exhibit at the Nordic
Sustainable Mobility Forum 
showcased eco-friendly solutions
for replacing oils used in engines,
gearboxes, and shock absorbers in
both rally and road vehicles. Today,
every Fabia RS Rally in the WRC
runs on % fossil-free fuel.
The Škoda Fabia RS Rally was
also presented with prototype
components made from biocomposite
materials.
