Imagine a place where you can take a car
higher than Europe’s tallest mountain, batter
it with hurricane-strength winds, and expose
it to searing desert heat. Škoda has a place
just like that. During vehicle development,
prototypes are tested in extreme conditions
all under one roof. You can read about all
the conditions Škoda cars undergo in testing

Fifty-ve cyclists embarked on a km route
through Czech Paradise to mark the
th
anniversary
of Škoda IT. The ride began on ŠA premises near
the V building, an unforgettable symbol for Škoda IT,
as it was here that the rst IBM / computer was
installed years ago. Waiting on the start line was the red
director’s car from the Tour de France, from which
the head of the IT department, Alexander Eisl, red
the start gun.
Despite being a leisurely ride, there was something for
the more competitive participants, as well. Riders could
compete in several categories. Jerseys were awarded
to the best climber, best sprinter, best woman, and of
course, the overall winner. Awards were also given to
the youngest and most experienced participants.
The nish line couldn’t be anywhere other than the newly
opened Laurin & Klement Kampus, where refreshments
awaited the participants and most importantly, the closing
ceremony. All the participants enjoyed the ride as well as
the friendly atmosphere and shared in the celebrations of
Škoda IT’s anniversary under sunny skies.
