    The Czech producer of mineral
    water and soft drinks Mattoni
    1873 has been using Škoda cars
    for its business for the second
    decade. It uses over 900 of them
    in Europe, of which 300 are used
    by Mattoni in the Czech Republic
    alone. Its eet includes Fabia,
    Octavia, Rapid, Scala, but also
    Superb, Kodiaq and the Škoda
    Citigo iV electric city car.

    Mattoni Drives
    Škoda Cars
    Explorers from the Netherlands decided to travel around
    Africa with the Škoda Enyaq electric car, charged mainly
    by solar panels. They wanted to highlight sustainable
    travel and inspire others along the way. They chose the
    electric car in particular because they wanted to reduce
    their footprint on the ground.
    “And we chose the Škoda Enyaq because it’s
    a regular family car, which makes our expedition more
    approachable for others. Plus it‘s ecient and big enough
    to store everything we need,“ says explorer Renske Cox.

    Enyaq Charged from the Sun
    Škoda Roadiaq:
    The Ninth Apprentice Car
    The 9
    th
    edition Škoda Apprentice Car is called
    Škoda Roadiaq. This year, 29 apprentices from the
    Secondary Vocational School of Mechanical Engineering
    in Mladá Boleslav took part in the Enyaq electric car
    transformation project. The car is being transformed
    into a „motorhome“ with a mobile oce with an interior
    made of sustainable materials. The car includes a roof
    space for solar panels. The Roadiaq apprentice model
    combines various elements for work and leisure. The
    ocial unveiling of the pupil car will take place
    during June 2023.

    Assembly Lines for
    Electric Cars
    Škoda Auto is rebuilding assembly
    lines at its plants so that production
    capacity can respond in time to the
    increased share of electric vehicles in
    production. At the Mladá Boleslav plant,
    the Octavia and the Enyaq iV, a fully
    electric battery-powered car, are being
    built on the same line. The carmaker plans
    to increase the share of electric vehicle
    production to 50 to 70 percent as part of
    its Next Level – Škoda Strategy 2030.

    Marketplace at MMK
    This year‘s MMK conference
    featured, among other things,
    current and innovative solutions,
    which were presented at four
    stations in the Škoda Museum
    and its surroundings. Managers
    learned a lot about digitalisation,
    articial intelligence, New
    work and leadership and
    Contemporary Explorers and
    brand strategy. This year‘s
    MMK showed that the Škoda
    Museum‘s premises are ideal for
    holding such events.

    The ECO Campaign Continues:
    Why Eat Seasonal Food?
    People‘s eating habits have changed a lot since the century
    before last. People have become accustomed to having the
    food they want at any time of the year. But the way they are
    processed and stored has changed. Fruits and vegetables from
    abroad are harvested in an unripe state and the food is less
    fresh. This can be avoided, especially by eating seasonal food.
    Equally important is support for domestic farmers, ranchers
    and breeders.
    Why eat more seasonal food?

    accustomed to life and conditions
    in our climate zone.

    promoting interest in
    technical education among
    primary and secondary school

    New Virtual
    Development
    Possibilities
    The relatively stable car
    development process,
    known as PEP (Product
    Origination Process) at
    Škoda Auto, is undergoing
    a transformation. The greatest
    emphasis is now on function-
    oriented development and
    virtualization. Johannes Neft,
    Board Member for Technical
    Development, said:
    “Technical Development must
    demonstrate its agility and
    adaptability required to tackle
    new challenges in the elds of
    electromobility, connectivity
    and automated driving.“

    Supercar Blondie
    Tested the Škoda
    Vision 7S
    Australian youtuber Supercar
    Blondie searches for the world‘s most
    interesting cars. She also tried out the
    seven-seater Škoda Vision S electric
    car. She was impressed not only by the
    modern design, but also by the focus
    on sustainability. In her video, the
    YouTuber mentions various gadgets
    such as lights and door opening via
    mobile phone, integrated backpacks,
    a camera pointing at the child seat, etc.
    Two driving modes worth mentioning
    are Drive and Relax. The rst mode is
    always on while driving, the second –
    Relax – can be used, for example, when
    charging the car.

    Design Language of L&K

    The Škoda Museum in Mladá
    Boleslav has prepared a new
    exhibition that will show visitors
    the major milestones in the
    development of vehicle design.
    Texts, sketches and photographs
    present the origins of the car,
    including important parts such
    as wheels, steering wheels,
    headlights, etc. The transformation
    of materials and their sustainability
    is also worthy of attention. Unique
    car models from the Škoda
    Museum‘s collections will be on
    display for the public until 
    November .

    Women from
    Škoda Auto
    Were Practicing
    Their Driving
    Škoda Auto employees
    took part in a special
    driving course desig-
    ned exclusively for
    women. The course
    took place on 6 June in
    Jihlava, its organisers
    hold free driving cour-
    ses regularly. The Start
    Driving project guides
    drivers through crisis
    situations and teaches
    them how to prevent
    them. Škoda Auto
    also lent several Enyaq
    models to the event,
    which were used to
    demonstrate the driving
    and safety specics of
    electric cars. Women
    from GasNet also
    attended the date.
