    As a partner of Clean Up Czechia, we have
    once again become actively involved in the
    protection of natural sites in the vicinity
    of our production plants. In cooperation
    with the KOVO Trade Union, we invited
    employees to help the environment with
    their family members or friends after
    a dicult winter season. Employees
    from Kvasiny and Vrchlabí took part in
    the clean-up around Harrachov and on
    the ridges of the Eagle Mountains last
    weekend, thus concluding the spring
    clean-up of natural sites near ŠKODA
    AUTO plants, which began in April with
    a collection in the Milovice protected
    landscape area near Mladá Boleslav.
    On the occasion of International
    Biodiversity Day (25 May), we also
    presented various projects that we are
    actively contributing to the conservation
    and development of biodiversity at our
    production sites around the world.
    The automaker has combined measures
    to help minimize the ecological footprint
    throughout its value chain into its Green
    Future strategy.

    Finland has won the 86th IIHF Men’s Ice
    Hockey World Championship. In the Finnish
    city of Tampere, Finland won 4:3 against
    Canada in a sensational match. The Czechs
    placed third and took home bronze medals
    for the rst time in ten years. Finnish goalie
    Juho Olkinuora was delighted to receive
    the MVP Award as the best player in the
    tournament.
    After the nal, ŠKODA AUTO Board
    Member for People & Culture, Maren Gräf
    presented him with the trophy, made of
    Bohemian crystal and crafted by ŠKODA
    Design. Peter Olah, Head of Interior Design
    at ŠKODA AUTO, was inspired by skate
    marks on the ice when designing the trophy.

    As of 1 June 2022, new shredding periods apply for all employees' email inboxes (already
    implemented in the FIx department since 22 February). Shredding periods determine when
    content (e.g. emails, appointments, tasks or notes) of a certain age will be automatically
    deleted. Shredding periods are already deployed in all other Oce 365 applications. Further
    details are available on ŠKODA Space, or in the shredding periods webinar.
    Laws, regulations and internal rules must be followed by all employees
    at all levels. The VW Group has now published internal statistics for
    2021 regarding violations of labour discipline and the resulting sanctions.
    The statistics track 111 entities around the world that employ a total of
    498,000 employees.

    Day with ŠKODA AUTO
    at Zlín Film Festival
    ŠKODA AUTO has been one of the main partners of
    the Zlín Film Festival for 20 years. On 28 May, the Day
    with ŠKODA AUTO took place at Náměstí Míru in Zlín,
    a day full of fun activities and accompanying programs
    for young and old alike. As part of their long-term
    cooperation with the non-prot organization Health
    Clown (Zdravotní klaun), which has also been going on
    for 20 years, ŠKODA AUTO and Health Clown joined
    forces for the day. At the Health Clown stand, visitors
    could nd out more about the organization‘s activities,
    and children and their parents could receive the clown's
    treatments in the oce of „Willow Withered“ and „Sheila
    Shiny“.
    ŠKODA AFRIQ:
    WATER OUT OF AIR
    For the rst time, an innovative device for
    extracting drinking water from the surrounding
    air can be found in a ŠKODA. The driver and co-
    driver in the ŠKODA AFRIQ thus have access
    to cooled and ltered drinking water at all
    times, regardless of the environment the car is
    being driven in. The device, made by the Israeli
    company Watergen, draws in air from the
    atmosphere and lters out dust and impurities.
    The water tank is located on the left side of
    the rear door in the same box as the water
    ltration, mineralisation and UV purication.
    The cup holder, spout and display are
    connected and located on the dashboard within
    easy reach of the navigator. Water ows under
    the display into a cup located in the holder.

    FIVE STARS FROM
    EURO NCAP?
    Every new car model has to undergo stringent safety
    testing. In Euro NCAP tests all 14 ŠKODA models
    tested since 2008 received the highest ve-star rating.
    Most recently, the fourth-generation ŠKODA FABIA and
    the ŠKODA ENYAQ iV electric SUV. The heaviest car
    ŠKODA has ever developed in its modern history, it has
    made the ambition to make a fully electric car as safe as
    conventional cars a reality.

    led from Prague to one of the two host cities of this year's IIHF
    Ice Hockey World Championship – Tampere, Finland. Czech
    inuencers, model Andrea Bezděková and moderator Tomáš
    Zástěra, took turns behind the wheel on the route of more
    than 2,000 kilometres through Poland, Lithuania and Estonia.
