Join Women@work
The newly established employee group,
Women@work, aims to support, empower, and
uplift all women at Škoda Auto, regardless of their
job position or age. The platform will operate within
the Microsoft Teams community, where members
can nd plenty of inspiration, meeting oers, and
tips. The rst group event will be a meet-up with the
Manager and Executive Director of Czechitas, Senta
Čermáková, scheduled for May during
European Diversity Month.
Simon Bracco Experiences
Škoda Auto Quality
In early April, Simon Bracco, Head of Group
Quality, visited the Škoda Auto plant in
Mladá Boleslav. He got to know the GQ unit’s
organisational structure and learned more
about the key strategic and transformational
topics for the present and future of Škoda
Auto. Accompa-nying the Head of Group
Quality were Pavel Urválek, Head of the EG
department (Whole Car Development) and
Christian Bleiel, Head of the PK department
(Component Production). Simon Bracco
repeatedly praised the level of our Quality
and our customer-centric approach during his
visit. He also highlighted the importance of
cooperation and sharing expertise within the
VW Group and the Brand Group Core (BGC).
Invitation to Škoda Museum
Pražský výběr (Prague Selection) concert
April, starting at :
Cult rock band Pražský výběr will perform in its original
line-up led by Michael Kocáb, Michal Pavlíček, Vilém Čok,
Klaudius Kryšpín, Jiří Hrubeš, and regular guest DJ Roxtar.
The setlist will include songs from the albums Straka v hrsti,
Výběr, and Běr, along with newer arrangements of their
songs.
Volunteers Clean Up
Forests in Martinovice
Despite changing weather conditions,
volunteers gathered on the rst Saturday of
April to clean the forests of Martinovice near
Mladá Boleslav as part of Earth Day activities
with Škoda Auto in partnership with
the KOVO Union. This part of the Bohemian
Paradise, primarily known to mushroom
pickers, also features the small Klenice River,
which was cleared of during this clean-up
event. Among the refuse, volunteers found
cables, tyres, glass and plastic bottles,
and old clothes, collectively hauling away
an impressive ve tonnes of waste.
Additional clean-up events are scheduled
for April at Krásná Louka in Mladá
Boleslav, May in Vrchlabí, and June
in Rychnov.
Logistics Discussion Forum 2024 with SOU Students
As part of the ongoing collaboration between Škoda Auto’s Logistics and the Secondary Vocational
School of Škoda Auto (SOUs), the STC Kosmonosy hosted the ceremonial evaluation of the
Discussion Forum. The event saw the participation of Andreas Dick, Board Member for
Production and Logistics, Jaroslav Povšík, Chairman of the KOVO Unions and Vice-Chairman of
the Škoda Auto Supervisory Board, David Strnad, Head of Brand Logistics, Martin Slabihoudek,
Director of SOUs, Štěpán Lacina, Head of Human Resources Planning, among other distinguished
guests and students. Following tradition, the ceremonial evaluation was preceded by two days
of challenges, where approximately students specialising in ‘Operation and Economics of
Transport – Industrial Logistics’ and ‘Storage Operator’ tackled professional tasks and engaged
in numerous practical logistics activities. This year’s theme focused on creating a corporate
identity and maximising nancial gain.

forests. In many areas,
extensive logging was
necessary and these areas
need reforestation. A team
of volunteers from the
ST unit (Comprehensive
MGMT Care, Employer
Branding) in collaboration
with the Municipal Oce
of Velké Všelisy, planted
a total of , saplings
including ash, spruce, and
beech in the municipal
forest.
