the option to use new login methods known as Passkeys, i.e.,
biometric authentication. With Passkeys, you will be able to
log in using your ngerprint, face recognition, or a conrmation
on your device, without entering a password. The goal is to make
accessing the digital world of Škoda Auto as simple and as secure
as possible, regardless of the device or location from which you
log in. Even after the new login is launched, you will still be able to
sign in the same way as today—using your username (personal
number) and your current password.
Since January of last year, a new high-rise warehouse for paint-
ed car bodies, called U44, has been under construction behind
the Octavia restaurant. The structure, measuring 110 meters
long, 42 meters wide, and 34 meters high, will be completed next
year, and in 2029, after the new paint shop is connected, itwill
link both paint shops and assembly lines into a single exible sys-
tem. The warehouse will hold 870 painted car bodies, which will
be automatically stored in designated positions and retrieved as
needed by the assembly lines. The warehouse will be operated by
seven stacker cranes, each 29.3 meters tall and capable of speeds
up to 120 meters per minute, ensuring controlled storage and
retrieval of car bodies from individual cells.

A unique exhibit at the Škoda Museum
The Škoda Museum’s collection has been expanded by a unique exhibit for a year and
ahalf. With the approval of the Italian Ministry of Culture, the only surviving example
of the rare Laurin & Klement CCCC has been loaned to Mladá Boleslav for 18 months.
At the time of its creation between 1903 and 1906, it was one of the first two-wheeled
vehicles in the world powered by an inline four-cylinder engine.
The rst version of the L&K CCCC motorcycle featured four single-cylinder engines arranged
in a row, the second version already featured cylinders grouped in pairs and atriple-bearing
crankshaft. A specimen of the third and nal development stage, representing the pinnacle
of Laurin & Klement motorcycle design, has arrived at the Škoda Museum from Italy. The
570cm³ air-cooled inline four-cylinder engine with SV valve train features a longitudinally
split crankcase with a triple-bearing crankshaft and delivers 6 horsepower (4.5 kW). With
this engine, the motorcycle reached speeds of up to 75km/h. Only a single example
was likely produced in this conguration. It bears the serial number 4775, and only a few
technical drawings have survived in the archives, but no photographs or further information.
This is one reason why its presence in the Škoda Museum exhibition is so exclusive.
Skoda Supplements
Škoda Mobil, the employee newspaper of the Mladá Boleslav-based carmaker, includes special supplements that focus on especially important topics from Škoda's perspective. Supplements can be a part of the newspaper, in the same format as the newspaper, inserted, for example, in the form of a flyer, or they can be stand-alone unique magazines in a specific format, such as supplements dedicated to new models, the brand's historical anniversaries, or other important information from the company's environment.
