you can’t go wrong. Discover why in the ar-

Scala or Kamiq? Both
Škoda Models Have
Much to Oer
Škoda Auto has opened a new chapter in sustainability and
innovation at its plant in Mladá Boleslav. The upgraded fourth
generation of the brand’s bestseller features a redesigned
Škoda grille, new second-generation LED matrix beam
headlights and the integration of ChatGPT into the Laura
voice assistant, among other enhancements. With Octavia
production being transferred to the Kvasiny plant later this year,
the Czech carmaker will create additional capacities in Mladá
Boleslav.
Škoda Storyboard takes a look back at the original prototypes of
our brand that did not make it into series production.
One of them is the Škoda Buggy , produced between
 and . Dune buggies or beach buggies experienced
a huge boom in the s. The Czech carmaker has developed
a passenger doorless convertible based on the Škoda  sedan
with a rear engine. The robust windscreen frame and the high
protective arch over the passengers’ heads were designed to
maximise safety. The design was the work of Josef Čech, and
four of the ve prototypes were made by apprentices at the
Mladá Boleslav academy. Production did not take o, however,
as the small depth of the rear seats and the lack of reectors on
the back didn’t comply with the legislation then in force.
Meet Some Original
and Lesser-Known Škodas
Join us for another event organised as
part of the ‘Let’s Clean Up the Czech
Republic’ project, this time in Mladá
Boleslav. The cleanup will take place
around the Jizera River, between the weirs
at Podlázky and Česana, both from the
water using boats and from the banks.
The mass gathering of volunteers is
scheduled for Saturday,  April ,
at : at the boat house on Krásná
Louka (Ptácká ,   Mladá Boleslav).
Bags, gloves, and light refreshments will
be provided. Don’t forget to bring spare
clothes and suitable footwear! The event is
planned to conclude at noon.
