Kampus
New headquarters with innovative oce spaces and
new work concepts adapted to the teams’ needs for
decades to come: This is what the Laurin & Klement
Kampus is about. For more than 2,000 employees
who will move to the new complex as well as for
Škoda Auto employees and partners visiting and
interacting in the open space premises, the LKK
will become the nucleus for more transparency and
cooperation in our company. Škoda Auto cooperates
on this project with the KOVO Trade Union.

Car Cameras
They have become a useful tool for drivers, but
they are also subject to GDPR rules, in company
and private cars. According to the GDPR and
the Civil Code, people have the right to privacy,
personal data and appearance. When using
the camera in the car, it is necessary to follow
certain rules. If the camera constantly scans
the surroundings and stores the recording, the
purpose of the processing must be documented
(e.g. protection of the driver‘s safety or
prevention in the event of an accident on the
road). It is also about how long the recording will
be kept, or on what basis the recording is made.

Škoda Auto developers are responsible
for the development of the EA 211 series
combustion engines in 50 model series of
seven Volkswagen Group brands. So far,
the car manufacturer has mainly developed
the naturally aspirated MPI engines of this
series, now it will also take responsibility for
the development of TSI units. Developers
in Mladá Boleslav will continue to improve
and adapt these engines to the needs and
rules in dozens of global markets. The aim
is to develop even more powerful and fuel-
ecient engines with lower emissions, with
an emphasis on maximum reliability.

The Trainee program at Škoda Auto
is celebrating 30th anniversary this
year. During that time, 703 talented
graduates from economic and technical
universities, most of whom still work in
the car factory, have passed through it.

WRC2 World Champion Emil Lindholm and
experienced matador Kris Meeke are masters
of the steering wheel. They manage to tame
their specials in extreme conditions and at
unprecedented speeds, and are literally at
home on any surface. But you can also benet
from their experience. These drivers oer tips
on how to drive a car on asphalt, gravel and
snow. Each surface will test dierent driving
skills. On snow, for example, braking is tested
a lot.

Going Electric with Diesel
in the Bloodstream
The Swiss trading company Avesco AG focuses on the
sale and service of construction machinery, construction
equipment, etc. Now AG has established cooperation with
Škoda Auto for the entire eet of its company cars.
Stefan Sutter, CEO of Avesco Group, said: „We chose Škoda
Auto because we achieved the best total cost of ownership
with the Enyaq iV and Kodiaq. In addition, the interior layout
and the design of the cars are very attractive.“ With the
switch to all-electric powertrains, the Swiss company expects
lower operating costs.
