    KLAUS ZELLMER APPOINTED
    NEW CEO OF ŠKODA AUTO
    AS OF 1/7/2022
    As of 1/7/ 2022, the new Chairman of the Board of Management of
    ŠKODA AUTO will be Klaus Zellmer, who is currently the Volkswagen
    brand Board member responsible for Sales, Marketing and After Sales.
    Klaus Zellmer succeeds Thomas Schäfer, who will step down as Chairman of the Board of ŠKODA
    AUTO at the end of June. As Chief Operating Ocer, Thomas Schäfer has also been in charge of the
    Volkswagen brand’s operating business since 1/4/2022 and will become its Chairman on 1/7/2022.
    At the same time, he will be joining the Group Board of Management as Brand Chairman and will head
    up the ‘Volume’ brand group.

    the Gate 3 cell is still available to
    employees, family members and

    Testing is available MONDAY -
    FRIDAY from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
    ŠKODA AUTO, in cooperation with the regional Klaudian's
    Hospital in Mladá Boleslav, is examining individual health
    condition of the Ukrainian refugees in its accommodation
    facility, which ŠKODA oers for humanitarian purposes. Our
    Health Services and Ergonomics team is carrying out medical
    registration of the refugees so that each of them can quickly and
    eciently receive the care they need. The most important thing
    now is to provide for the needs of chronically ill patients and
    prescribe them the medications they were used to in Ukraine,
    or their equivalents available in the Czech Republic. Refugees are
    also given detailed information on how to proceed if they need
    to receive healthcare in the Czech Republic.

    I noticed a call on social networks in which The Children´s Sanatorium in Království, situated near the enchanting dam Les
    Království (close to Dvůr nad Labem), asked for assistance in helping Ukrainian children. Seven orphans, aged between 7 and
    17, and their carer were forced to run away from bombed and war-torn Kyiv. The children had to set out on a long and stressful
    journey without their usual belongings. When they arrived, the only things they had were the clothes they were wearing. Not
    only did they need clothes, personal hygiene needs and shoes, but also things for school. And it was the school things that my
    wife and I decided to focus on. We bought the children fully equipped school bags as well as some little presents: toys, personal
    hygiene needs, vitamins and sweets. For us, it was really moving to see how happy the children were when they got their new school things - something that
    everybody else takes for granted. We will never forget those moments. We also gave presents to the children´s carer, Ms Nataša, who deserves our deepest
    respect for having been able to relocate all of the seven children to a safe place by herself. My sincere thanks also belong to the whole team of the children´s
    sanatorium lead by Mgr. Helena Rážová, the manager, and Mr Petr Kallen, who is helping there as a volunteer. All of them are trying hard to provide the best
    possible environment for the children and make it easy for them to begin a new, better life here in the Czech Republic.
    Probably more Ukrainian orphans will arrive at the sanatorium in the coming days. My colleagues, if you are interested in joining us and helping these children,
    do not hesitate and just do it. Every child has the right to a beautiful childhood full of joy and happiness.

    In the new episode of the SIMPLY CLEVER PODCAST we will
    try to advise those of you who are thinking about switching to
    electromobility. Imagine a model situation - you have two cars in
    your household and you think that you might want to replace one
    of them with an electric car, perhaps one with a smaller battery,
    which you will use mainly for commuting around the city. Would
    you make do with just charging from a regular socket? How will
    such home charging aect your electricity bill? And isn't it time
    to consider photovoltaics? We asked Jan Staňek, a popularizer
    of electromobility with the nickname ElectroDad, who has
    experience with home charging and photovoltaics. Honza invited
    us to his home and showed us how to live with two electric cars in
    the garage.
    As of 1/5/2022, the accommodation
    prices at ŠKODA AUTO
    accommodation facilities are going
    to increase. The current prices will be
    increased by 10–20%, depending upon
    the benet drawing period (increase
    by 10% in case of up to 5 years of
    accommodation; increase by 20% in case
    of more than 5 years of accommodation).
    The housing payment shall be
    automatically adjusted regarding all
    employees who are receiving this
    allowance.

    Conference took place with the participation of the entire
    ŠKODA AUTO Board of Management. The members of the
    ŠKODA AUTO Board of Management reviewed at the conference
    the past year, but also outlined the topics that will have a major
    impact on both ŠKODA AUTO and the entire Volkswagen Group
    in 2022.

    the Vrchlabí region, where we
    manufacture the modern DQ200
    dual-clutch gearbox. At the end
    of March, representatives of the
    company handed over discarded
    measuring instruments such
    as micrometers, dial gauges,
    calipers and others to the Vrchlabí
    Secondary School of Mechanical
    Engineering and Electrical
    Engineering and to the Primary
    School in Studenec.
    These measuring instruments,
    which no longer meet the
    requirements for the production of
    gearboxes, will therefore nd further
    use in the practical education of
    Vrchlabí children and students, who
    can thus learn to use even relatively
    complex, professional production
    tools.
