Don’t Drive Drunk!
With Easter approaching, the risk of drunk driving and underestimating
the eects of residual alcohol increases. In response, Škoda Auto has
launched the “Neřiďím na plech (Don’t Drive Drunk)” campaign, aiming
to reduce the number of accidents caused by alcohol consumption during
the Easter holiday period. The campaign is being promoted through
the website neridimnaplech.cz, as well as via inuencers, celebrities,
media creators, and advertising banners.
Its distinctive symbol is the number 61 and crushed cans, highlighting
the consequences of driving under the inuence – namely, car crashes.
Škoda Auto has partnered with the Czech Police and
the Vision Zero Platform, which brings together
stakeholders with the goal of achieving zero fatalities
and serious injuries on Czech roads.
From March to October, the exhibition “ Years – Alexander
Kolowrat and His Austro-Daimler Sascha” is on display in Vratislavice nad
Nisou at the Ferdinand Porsche Birthplace. It recounts the thrilling story
of an outstanding racer as well as his parallel career as a capable manager
and lm producer, including his collaboration with Ferdinand Porsche.
On display is their Austro-Daimler Sascha race car, loaned by the Porsche
Museum in Stuttgart. The bohemian Sascha received his rst single-
cylinder Laurin & Klement motorcycle from his father as a graduation gift;
two years later, he took the wheel of an L&K automobile. From until
World War I, he racked up countless victories in the most prestigious races
and competitions. “The Count,” as he was nicknamed, excelled not only
in driving speed but also in physical endurance and a remarkably clean,
accident-free style. He later turned to lm production, launching
the international careers of actresses like Marlene Dietrich. Most of us know
the legendary Sascha only from the lm Grandpa’s Car (), in which he
was portrayed by the cheerful Josef Hlinomaz. Don’t miss this spectacle
and visit the exhibition in Vratislavice.
The Internal Communications Team wishes you a happy Easter
lled with springtime serenity, joy, and renewed energy.
