    Dear colleagues,
    We would like to inform you that
    the collective bargaining between
    the management of Škoda Auto and
    the KOVO Trade Union has been
    concluded. The Parties have agreed
    on wage taris and a budget for
    social expenses. Amendments to
    the Agreements from the Set of
    Agreements and Documents have
    been concluded which expired on
    31 March 2023.
    Productive and motivated employees
    are a priority for Škoda Auto and
    the KOVO Trade Union. Therefore,
    we are pleased to announce
    the following changes:
    Remuneration
    Wage taris, including tari
    steps, will increase by 10,1%
    with eect from 1 April 2023.
    The variable bonus for the 2022
    results, amounts to CZK 33 000.
    In addition, the KOVO Trade
    Union negotiated an ination
    compensation for the previous
    period in the amount of CZK
    4 000 and a one-o payment
    of CZK 13 000.
    Over and above these payments,
    the parties Škoda Auto and
    KOVO agreed on a bonus
    for the previous period to
    mark the 30
    th
    anniversary of
    the integration of Škoda Auto
    into the Volkswagen Group.
    Employees will receive CZK
    15 000 as a one-o payment
    together with the above
    payments in May 2023 as part of
    their pay for the month of April.
    At the same time, for this
    anniversary, each employee will
    receive 10 000 points in the
    Škoda Benets Cafeteria on
    the same date. The guaranteed
    bonus will be paid according to
    the existing rules.
    Flexikonto Agreement
    The Flexikonto Agreement
    was extended until 31. 12.
    2023, remuneration for plus
    exikonto shifts was increased
    by 100 CZK/shift. In addition,
    the remuneration for repetitive
    work was increased by
    200 CZK/month, for the
    afternoon shift by 2 CZK/hour
    and for the night shift by
    5 CZK/hour. It was also agreed
    to increase the bonus for work
    in dicult working conditions
    by CZK 2/hour and for work
    in non-standard working
    conditions by 2 CZK/hour.
    Dear colleagues,
    This negotiation result shows that respect and responsibility for the employees is a mutual core value for
    the Company and KOVO Trade Union. We hope that you will welcome these changes and that we can now
    all devote ourselves fully and vigorously to our work and to the further development of our company. Despite
    the dicult period, we will continue to work with all our strength to ensure employment and meet the high
    demand for our vehicles.
    Also, benets for employees
    have been negotiated for loans:
    For the housing policy, the
    loan has been increased
    both for the purchase or
    construction of a family house
    or at to a maximum amount
    of CZK 600,000 and for the
    modernisation or extension of
    a family house to a maximum
    amount of CZK 350,000.
    When purchasing a new Škoda
    car, the maximum loan amount
    was also increased to
    a maximum of CZK 400,000.
    KOVO Trade Union also
    negotiated 1 mil. EUR for
    the next period, that will be
    used for social projects.
    Benets and Social Policy
    Benets for our employees remain unrivalled – especially in
    the light of the overall economic situation and the challenges
    for Škoda Auto in 2022. In addition to the above, the
    KOVO Trade Union has negotiated the following benets
    (retroactive to January 1, 2023):
    Employees will now be credited with Cafeteria points for
    the completion of a relaxation stay as dened in
    the Relaxation Stay Catalogue, 1 000 points for 1 week
    and 2 000 points for 2 weeks, the crediting of points will be
    automatic during the month of November 2023.
    Employees will be credited with 400 Cafeteria points for
    completing a domestic or foreign recreation stay as dened in
    the Recreation Social Fund Allowance Rules at the beginning
    of the calendar quarter following the recreation stay.
    Cafeteria points will also be credited upon reaching
    the corresponding number of years of service with the
    Company, for 3 years 450 points, 5 years 750 points, 10 years
    1 500 points, 15 years 2 250 points, 20 years 3 000 points,
    25 years 3 750 points, 30 years 4 500 points, 35 years
    5 250 points, 40 years 6 000 points, 45 years 6 750 points.
    In addition, the social allowance on the death of an
    employee was increased from CZK 30,000 to CZK 50,000
    – for a spouse, partner or close person who lived in
    the same household with the employee before the death
    and was dependent on the employee for maintenance;
    from CZK 50,000 to CZK 80,000 – for each dependent
    child of the deceased or for a child in his/her care replacing
    the care of the parents.
    As of 1 April 2023, the employer‘s contribution to
    the supplementary pension savings has been increased
    by CZK 100 to CZK 1 600 per month. In the seniority
    programme, the amount of social support was indexed by
    15%. For the period from April 01, 2023, the meal subsidy
    was increased by a total of CZK 2, of which CZK 0.50 for
    soup and CZK 1.50 for the main meal.

    LEGO Sets Aren‘t
    Just for Play
    Each of us has LEGO bricks associated
    with childhood. However, few people
    are familiar with their use for teaching
    robotics, electronics or programming.
    The global First Lego League (FLL)
    competition aims to motivate high school
    students to develop technical thinking
    and teamwork. Gymnázium Jeseník
    (The Jeseník Grammar School) and its
    robotic team R.U.R. supported by Škoda
    Auto won the nationwide nal of the FLL
    competition. The competition took place
    on March ,  at the Prague branch
    of Fanuc. The R.U.R. team advances to
    the world round, which will take place
    April – in the USA.

    The ninth Škoda student car will be
    electrifying as never before, while
    also carrying a spirit of discovery.
    This year,  students are building
    a multifunctional concept car
    based on the Škoda Enyaq iV
    electric SUV, which is adapted
    for camping and will also act as
    a mobile oce. Their dream car
    meets the needs and expectations
    of modern digital nomads.
    The initial design sketches for
    the ninth student car in a row were
    recently designed by students with
    the support of the Škoda Design
    team.

    Azores Rally: Victory for
    Sébastien Loeb in a Škoda
    He may be not have been too familiar with a Rally
    machine so far. But that didn’t stop nine-time FIA
    World Rally Champion Sébastien Loeb from winning
    his rst ever event at the wheel of a Škoda Fabia RS
    Rally. The Frenchman and co-driver Laurène Godey
    beat Toksport WRT team mates Andreas Mikkelsen/
    Torstein Eriksen from Norway to victory at Azores
    Rallye, third round of the Tour European Rally (TER).
    Third place went to Nil Solans and co-driver Marco
    Marti from Spain. The Czech crew of Erik Cais/Petr
    Těšínský nished in sixth place.

    reported via LinkedIn about the successful
    collaboration between People and Culture with
    colleagues from Information Technology.

    an important award.

    New Zealand Police in Waikat begins the
    introduction of new specially adapted vehicles
    for trained dogs. The prototype of the Škoda
    Superb Combi with an output of  kW was
    produced at the end of  and tested by
    operational dog units. The test was successful.
    Handlers said the Škoda model is not only more
    dog-friendly, but also more user-friendly and
    allows for faster deployment of police units.

    Škoda Auto and the non-prot
    organisation Clown Doctor are
    launching the second year of
    the creative competition
    Car for the Clown Doctor,
    in which children can design
    their own livery for the Škoda
    Enyaq iV. From autumn ,
    Clown Doctors have been using
     Škoda Enyaq Coupé iV cars with
    liveries designed by children in
    the rst year of the competition.
    This year, children can also submit
    competition designs until the
    end of April via the website
    autoproklauna.skoda-auto.cz.
    The Škoda Enyaq iV car designed
    by children will be ocially handed
    over on  June  as part of
    the Škoda Day at the Zlín Film
    Festival.
