    As planned, Thomas
    Schäfer will take over as
    Chief Operating Ocer of
    the Volkswagen brand in
    Wolfsburg from 1/4/2022.
    He will then be appointed
    as the new CEO of
    the Volkswagen brand on
    1/7/2022 and will also be
    a member of the Volkswagen
    Group Management Board
    as Head of the volume brands
    group. Thomas Schäfer will
    also continue to lead ŠKODA
    AUTO until his successor is
    appointed.

    CLEAN UP CZECHIA 
    TRADITIONAL VOLUNTEER EVENT WILL
    TAKE PLACE ON SATURDAY //
    WE CONTINUE TO STRENGTHEN OUR
    SUPPORT TO UKRAINE AND ITS CITIZENS
    Clean Up Czechia (Ukliďme Česko) - Clean Up the World
    is a volunteer clean-up event that takes place throughout the Czech Republic.
    The aim of the event is to relieve nature of accumulated rubbish and other
    clutter. We have been supporting this initiative for six years and Škodians
    have already helped to rid public spaces of several tonnes of rubbish. Buses
    will be provided to the event from the ŠKODA Museum car park.
    We cordially invite all Škodians to the traditional happening Clean Up
    Czechia. Join us on Saturday 2/4/2022 in cleaning up the National Natural
    Monument Mladá u Milovic in the Mladá Boleslav region, which is one of the
    youngest and, with an area of more than 1,244 hectares, one of the largest
    protected areas in the country.
    ŠKODA AUTO continues to provide extensive help to Ukraine and its
    citizens aected by the war conict. More than CZK 20 million has
    already been released in connection with the critical situation in Ukraine.
    The company has supported material collections in Mladá Boleslav and
    Rychnov nad Kněžnou and 12 ŠKODA Logistics trucks have already left
    for Ukraine with material aid. The company is also focusing intensively
    on providing basic needs for the families of Ukrainian employees working
    at ŠKODA plants, who have been oered evacuation to the Czech Republic
    to their accommodation facilities.
    Information on how to register, what to bring and more can be found on
    ŠKODA Space. All employees will receive Cafeteria points for voluntary
    litter picking, which they can then redeem at contractors throughout
    the country.

    Hello,
    I’m responding to your post on
    the ŠKODA Space regarding
    help for Ukraine.
    I’d like to share my own
    experience from the Trainee
    community. The CSR team, one
    of the Trainee projects, organized
    a humanitarian collection on
    their own under my leadership.
    The collection was ocially
    organized by the city of Mladá
    Boleslav, but we informed our
    colleagues about the collection
    within ŠKODA AUTO, collected
    everything they wanted to
    donate and nally we took it
    to the city of Mladá Boleslav.
    All donated items will be
    transported to Ukraine in
    the next few days.

    burnout syndrome
    Dear colleagues,
    In agreement with the KOVO Trade
    Union in the framework of collective
    bargaining, we decided to follow a path
    focused on the quality of the proposals,
    speed of implementation and increasing
    the eciency of the whole programme.
    The new strategy will thus be reected
    on two levels - remuneration and targets.
    For 2022, the SP/2 – Improvement
    Department, has set targets that dispense
    with tracking the number of proposals
    submitted and employee engagement.
    This is one of the most desired changes,
    called for in last year's survey not only by
    individual areas but also by employees.
    The new criteria tracked are benets,
    success rate and urgency (proportion of
    late proposals). The original objectives
    were set in such a way as to prioritize
    quantity without regard to the benets or
    feasibility of proposals and also increased
    the administrative burden on assessors.
    The remuneration system has undergone
    an even more signicant change. It has
    been redesigned to better reward the
    authors of successful proposals. With
    the change in the Improvement Strategy,
    ŠKODA AUTO is aligning itself with
    other Group brands, which have also
    focused in recent years on the speed of
    implementation of proposals and the
    benets for the company. The SP/2 unit
    hopes that the change, which will take
    eect from 1/4/2022, will motivate
    authors to become even more actively
    involved in the Improvement programme
    and bring ideas that benet the company.

    Boleslav-based carmaker,
    the Czech Cycling Federation's
    eet will comprise 10 pure electric
    ŠKODA ENYAQ iV models and three
    electried cars from the ŠKODA iV
    family. It will thus become the rst
    domestic sports federation whose
    eet of passenger cars will be
    fully electried by the end of this
    year. The federation already tried
    out the low-emission ŠKODA cars
    last season when it included several
    plug-in hybrids and one pure electric
    vehicle in its eet. On that occasion,
    it veried that an electric vehicle can
    cover relatively long distances without
    limitations. More information is

    You can't run a marathon in bad shape! Burnout syndrome is
    essentially a state of chronic stress that leads to physical and
    emotional exhaustion, even feelings of inferiority and lack of
    achievement. When burnout syndrome approaches, you are no
    longer able to function eectively on a personal or professional
    level. Just as you can develop your physical tness, you can also
    boost your mental health. The ŠKODA Academy has prepared
    videos and educational cards that will help you both, to recognize
    the signs of burnout syndrome early and to oer tips on how to
    prevent it.
