When Joint Help Makes a Dierence
On Thursday, March , a volunteer activity took place in which
colleagues from Kvasiny dedicated their free time to a good cause.
Together, they helped clear out the premises of the Láry Fáry social
café in Rychnov nad Kněžnou, operated by the Pferda organization.
The café is soon to undergo a planned renovation, and in order for the
process to begin, it was necessary to remove the furnishings and prepare
the space for construction work. Thanks to the volunteers’ willingness
and good spirits, everything went smoothly – and most importantly, with
great respect for a place that serves an important social mission.
It was heartening to see how many people were willing to lend a hand
and go the extra mile after a full day’s work. Moments like these remind
us that helping others doesn’t have to be complicated or grand – all it
takes is willingness, a few hours of your time, and the desire to make
the world around us a little better. You can nd more opportunities to
help on the Škoda Volunteers platform.
Thank you to everyone who took part. You have shown that as collea-
gues, we can stick together and provide support where it’s needed most.
Keep an eye on tyre pressure
Tyres are the only connection between a car and the road. If they
don't perform well, even the most sophisticated technology
cannot compensate for it. Their condition aects driving safety,
comfort, and fuel consumption. Although modern cars have
a pressure leak detection system, it usually only alerts when
the pressure drops below a critical level. Drivers should check
the pressure once a month according to the manufacturer's
recommendations and adjust it according to the current
temperature or vehicle load if necessary. The pressure label
axed to the vehicle body indicates two pressure values: one
for partial load and one for full load. The pressure therefore
needs to be adjusted, for example, when you are going on a long
holiday with a fully loaded boot. It is also necessary to react to
temperature changes. In cold weather, the pressure inside
the tyres decreases, while in hot conditions it rises.
