    Škoda Auto Annual Press Conference: Pictures and Speeches
    Škoda Auto presented its nancial
    results for  at its headquarters in
    Mladá Boleslav. Škoda Auto‘s Chairman
    of the Board of Management Klaus
    Zellmer, Christian Schenk, Member
    of the Board of Management for Finance
    and IT, and Martin Jahn, Member of
    the Board of Management for Sales and
    Arno Antlitz, COO and Group Board Member for Finance (CFO) and
    Thomas Schäfer, Group Board Member for the Brand Group Volume
    and CEO of the Volkswagen Brand, reviewed 2022 and summarised
    the Group‘s plans for this year. According to Antlitz, the Volkswagen
    Group will focus on cost optimisation, shifting strategic initiatives and
    strengthening its position in the regions in 2023. According to Schäfer,
    it is important this year to address parts supply, the implementation of
    vehicle start-ups and the protection of economic returns with consistent
    cost management.

    Earth Hour
    The International Earth Hour to highlight climate change takes
    place on  March . The global initiative is organised by
    the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
    Škoda Auto cares about protecting the environment,
    so it will turn o the lights in its plants for one hour
    on the day of the event.
    Marketing, provided information on current events and the
    future development of the carmaker. In addition to the press
    releases, the Škoda Storyboard also contains photos,
    speeches and presentations from the annual press conference.

    Number of the Week
    300 000
    Miloš Halbich, head of the Škoda Auto
    plant in Kvasiny, together with other
    representatives of the automotive company,
    handed over a nancial gift of CZK 300,000
    to representatives of the Rychnov nad
    Kněžnou Hospital today. This is further
    assistance to a local medical facility that
    the carmaker has supported for the fth
    year. The contribution of CZK 300 000
    is intended to support mobility within
    the hospital premises, modernisation
    of the examination room with X-ray or
    improvement of the facilities for the
    sta in the neonatal ward. The total
    amount of nancial aid over the last ve
    years has thus reached CZK 3.4 million.
    Supporting healthcare is one of the
    most important areas of corporate social
    responsibility in the regions where the
    carmaker operates production plants.

    Škoda Unites Its Websites
    Thanks to Škoda Flow
    Škoda Flow is a multi-platform design system for
    building user environments, applications, websites
    and other interfaces. It includes an online library with
    tutorials and more than 1,000 standardized elements
    such as buttons or icons, which enable designers
    and developers to develop digital products faster
    and more eciently. The principles of the Škoda Flow
    digital design system have been used since
    the beginning of 2023 on the websites of the Škoda
    Museum, the Škoda Auto Vocational School and
    the Škoda Polyclinic. The SB and VX departments
    together with colleagues from FIP were involved in
    the transformation of the site into the Škoda Flow
    concept. The corporate IT department provided
    important support throughout the project.

    Easter Creation
    for Children
    at the Škoda Museum
    Accept our invitation to a creative af-
    ternoon for children, which will be held
    under the sign of spring and Easter.
    The event will take place on 29 and
    30 March 2023 from 16:00 to 18:00
    at the Škoda Museum. A ticket of
    100 CZK is purchased for a child only.

    Rally Mexico: Škoda wins
    rst three places in WRC
    Guanajuato Rally México took place at
    altitudes of up to , metres and consisted
    of stages covered with rough gravel and
    rocks. For the newest car of the Czech
    manufacturer‘s Rally group, it again presented
    a new challenge. The Toksport WRT team
    brought two Škoda Fabia RS Rally cars to
    Léon for the crews Gus Greensmith/Jonas
    Andersson (GB/SW) and Oliver Solberg/
    Elliott Edmondson (SW/GB). The victory
    was celebrated by Gus Greensmith and
    co-driver Jonas Andersson. The third round
    of the  season was Gus Greensmith‘s rst
    ever FIA World Championship rally behind
    the wheel of a Škoda. Defending WRC
    champions Emil Lindholm/Reeta Hämäläinen
    (FIN/FIN) nished second. Third place went
    to the pairing of Oliver Solberg/Elliott
    Edmondson (SW/GB).

    Exhibition of Film Flaps
    The project of lm aps has been part of
    the Zlín Film Festival since . Its mission is
    to support emerging talented lmmakers.
    This year is the th year of
    the lm aps. So far, exactly
    , aps have been created,
    involving  artists. Škoda
    Auto has been a partner of the
    Zlín Film Festival for more than
     years, especially in the area
    of cultural sponsorship.
    This year‘s collection includes
     aps by leading Czech
    artists. The artistic lm aps
    are on display at the Ferdinand
    Porsche Birthplace in Liberec
    from  March and the exhibition
    will run until  March. Then
    they will move to the Škoda
    Museum, where they will be
    on display from  March to
     April .

    After two years, a pair of the
    endangered peregrine falcons
    returned to their box on the
    200-meter-tall chimney of
    the ŠKO-ENERGO thermal
    power plant in Mladá Boleslav.
    At the beginning of March, the
    female falcon laid three eggs
    in it. These were the rst eggs
    in the Czech Republic at sites
    monitored by Alka Wildlife this
    year. The falcon box was installed
    on the chimney by ŠKO-ENERGO
    in 2013 and the rst falcons
    nested in the box in 2015. At
    a height of about 168 metres,
    this box is the second highest
    nesting place located on Czech
    industrial chimneys. So far, the
    falcons have raised 21 chicks in
    it. People can watch the falcon
    chicks using an online camera.
