The New Škoda Octavia Seen Through Its Designers’ Eyes
At rst glance, the changes to the Škoda Octavia, the Mladá Boleslav brand’s bestseller, appear
subtle, but a closer look reveals meticulous renements. Updates include the front grille, front and
rear headlights, and the interior.
Designers detail the aesthetic updates of the Octavia facelift in a video
on the Škoda Storyboard.
Minister of Education Mikuláš Bek Visited
the 42 Prague Educational Institute
On Wednesday February, the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Mikuláš Bek, visited
the registered institute 42 Prague to familiarize himself with the original concept of study and
the focus on newly emerging positions in the eld of IT. The Minister was welcomed by Maren
Gräf, Member of the Board of Directors of Škoda Auto for People and Culture, and Jaroslav Povšík,
Chairman of the Works Council of the KOVO Trade Union.
The car manufacturer is the founder and one of the main partners of Prague. Studying at
the institute leads the applicant both to independence and to support teamwork and is completed
by the internationally recognized professional certicates „Designer and developer of IT
solutions“ or „Expert in the eld of IT architecture“. These certicates meet the qualication
requirements valid in the European Union, which makes it easier for graduates to nd employment
in sought-after elds and in an international environment.

Celebrating World
Water Day in March?
22 March marks World Water Day globally, aiming to raise
awareness that one in six people worldwide, totalling over
billion individuals, live without access to clean water.
The United Nations (UN) established World Water Day
in to highlight the importance of water for our entire
planet, its preciousness and everything we would lose without
it. To commemorate the occasion, the PSU Department
has organised a quiz competition, oering entrants a chance
to win a tour of the ŠKO-ENERGO wastewater treatment
plants in Mladá Boleslav, Vrchlabí, and Kvasiny.

Škoda Auto has defended its rst-
place position in the ‘Automotive
& Engineering Industry’ category in
the TOP Employers of 2024 study,
marking its thirteenth victory in this
category. The survey allows university
students, as highly educated job
candidates, to evaluate the quality of
various employers based on numerous
criteria. For the rst time, high school
students also participated in a special
‘First Choice’ category, where the Czech
automaker secured second place, just
behind the ČEZ Group.

Škoda Mobil, the employee newspaper of the Mladá Boleslav-based carmaker, includes special supplements that focus on especially important topics from Škoda's perspective. Supplements can be a part of the newspaper, in the same format as the newspaper, inserted, for example, in the form of a flyer, or they can be stand-alone unique magazines in a specific format, such as supplements dedicated to new models, the brand's historical anniversaries, or other important information from the company's environment.
