The New Strategy of Autonomous
Škoda Auto is newly adopting a strategy in the eld of robotics
and articial intelligence that is fully in line with the Volkswagen
Group. A key element of this strategy is close cooperation with
VW Group’s AI Robotics Group, which is intensively developing
and testing technologies in collaboration with leading global
companies. It focuses not only on humanoid robotics, but also on
mobile robotics using articial intelligence in general. This approach
means that we will closely monitor the direction in which
the AI Robotics Group will lead us. The aim is to align all future steps
taken by Škoda Auto with current trends and the Group's strategy.
For all enthusiasts and experts in the eld of robotics and AI,
the group “AI Robotics – ŠA“ has been established.

Holger Peters for E
According to Holger Peters, board Member for Production and Logistics,
Škoda Auto wants to grow smartly, maintain production eciency, and
use AI to gain greater control over costs and key processes. Electrication
remains a strategic necessity, even though margin-rich SUVs with
combustion engines are currently the best sellers. However, the goal is
to adapt the business to the future, in which cheaper batteries, in-house
cell production in Europe, and scaling on new platforms will be key for
the company and the Volkswagen Group, gradually improving the
protability of electric cars and the resilience of the business model.
