Slavia reaches the Vietnamese market

Three years after Škoda Auto and Vietnam’s Thanh Cong Group formed a strategic partnership, the Czech brand is winning over local customers. This year, it began offering not only European models but also locally produced cars developed in India. Following the Kushaq SUV’s launch in June, the Slavia saloon arrived in September, setting a new benchmark in its segment.

Slavia Now Available on the Vietnamese Market

Following the compact SUV Kushaq, a locally manufactured sedan is now also available to customers.

From Around the World

September marked three years since Škoda Auto and Vietnam’s Thanh Cong Group concluded a strategic cooperation agreement that opened the way for the carmaker to enter an attractive growing market. Since then, the Czech brand has attracted the attention of local customers, offering them not only European models but also, starting this year, locally produced cars developed in India. Following the launch of the Kushaq compact SUV in June, the Slavia sedan was introduced in September.

70,000

That is how many kilometres Slavia models covered during testing in Vietnam.

The car is expected to appeal to Vietnamese customers as a segment leader. Media coverage and social media feedback confirm this. The Škoda brand offers a reliable and well-equipped sedan that meets European standards. The Slavia stands out from the competition with its ground clearance, which allows for more flexible use of the car. Other notable advantages include top-notch safety backed by a five-star Global NCAP rating and a range of advanced driver-assistance features. Another highlight is the ventilated front seats, which can be electrically adjusted in six directions.

The Slavia is available in three trim levels and four colours. Its price, which is considered favourable in Vietnam given the car’s features, starts at the equivalent of CZK 330,000 as part of an introductory offer. European carmakers in the country struggle with perceptions that their servicing is expensive and hard to access. The Vietnamese representative of the Czech brand, therefore, emphasises low servicing and maintenance costs when promoting the Slavia model.

Anniversary trip

On 2 September, Vietnam commemorated 80 years since declaring independence. The local Škoda dealership joined in the celebrations and organised a trip during which Škoda cars covered almost 2,500 kilometres in seven days. The Kushaq and Slavia models have proved their reliability in various terrains and weather conditions, catching the attention of numerous potential customers.
