Epiq is Knocking on the Door
Production of the Škoda Epiq urban electric SUV is set to begin next year. At the IAA show in Munich, the carmaker presented it in the form of a show car alongside sister models, which are the result of a joint project by Brand Group Core, the VW Group’s volume brands. The Epiq is permeated by the Modern Solid design language, which combines robustness and functionality. Distinctive features include T-shaped daytime running lights, a Cosmo grey front bumper and lines that clearly separate the individual sections of the body.
The compact car is 4.1 metres long but offers a generous luggage compartment with a volume of 475 litres. The minimalist interior also gives passengers ample room and includes practical storage compartments. It will likewise feature mechanical buttons and tactile wheels for controlling the car’s functions. The base price of the Epiq, which will be manufactured at the VW Group’s plant in Spain, is expected to be comparable to the Kamiq in many markets. This will make it Škoda’s most affordable electric car.
