Tour with the student car
The 10th-anniversary student car, designed and built by students of the Secondary Technical School of Engineering with the support of vocational training instructors, celebrates the carmaker’s history and its connection to the world of cycling. The L&K 130 car, based on the Superb Combi iV model, was designed as an escort vehicle for cycling races and adapted for the easy transport of bicycles. Several of its creators accompanied the car to the Tour de France on two occasions. Two students and two teachers participated in the first stage in Lille, where their car then joined the official peloton, riding ahead of the competitors. In addition to experiencing the atmosphere of the world’s biggest cycling race, they met the 2010 winner, Andy Schleck, now a Škoda brand ambassador. Two other students and two teachers attended the final stage in Paris.
Info
Andy Schleck and Zdeněk Štybar also tested the car. You can find their impressions on the Škoda Storyboard.
